The ITA Airways Gift Card can only be used on the Italian website to purchase flight tickets departing from Eurozone countries, as well as additional services (during the booking process) on the ITA Airways website and app. If you experience issues when purchasing and/or using Gift Cards during weekends or public holidays, we may not be able to provide immediate assistance.

The gift card is valid for 12 months, is non-refundable, and can be used to fly even after the expiration date.

If you purchased or received a Gift Card before March 17, 2026, you can contact ITA Airways Customer Service to purchase flights departing from outside the Eurozone.

The ITA Airways Gift Card is a gift for many occasions. It is not personalized; the recipient will be able choose any destination desired that is available on the Italy market website and ITA Airways App. With Gift Cards purchased on or after March 17, 2026, you will be able to purchase flights sold in euros, originating from Eurozone countries. You can purchase the ITA Airways Gift Cards on the app and Italy website, choosing the value you prefer.

Once purchased and received, your ITA Airways Gift Card will be immediately active and ready to use.

The ITA Airways Gift Card is non-refundable, even in the event of loss, theft or damage (e.g. if the numerical code is illegible); the card cannot be blocked, refunded or replaced.

To use the Gift Card, select the flights that interest you and any additional services (during booking) on the Italy website and ITA Airways App. Once you have made your selection, enter your Gift Card details during checkout. If your Gift Card has a higher value than the amount of the purchased flight ticket, the code can be reused multiple times until the coupon has no more remaining value. If the value of your Gift Card is lower than the ticket price, you can make up the difference by paying the additional amount by credit card at the time of purchase. The Gift Card can be used in conjunction with other discount codes and other Gift Cards (maximum of 3 Gift Cards allowed, only if they cover the total value of the ticket). Please note that Gift Cards are not compatible with PayPal and other forms of payment related to loyalty program rewards, nor with the “Time to Think” service. Gift cards cannot be topped up.

The ITA Airways Gift Card is valid for one year from the time of issuance, and the flight must be completed no later than 12 months after the Gift Card’s expiration date.

You can cancel your purchase of a completely unused Gift Card within 14 days of receiving the confirmation email, without providing any reason.

If you purchased or were gifted a Gift Card before March 17, 2026, and you intend to purchase a flight in a foreign currency (a flight not originating from Eurozone countries), call the Contact Center at +39 06 85960020 to request a Gift Card in the correct currency. The newly issued Gift Card will have a credit equivalent to the remaining balance available on the original Gift Card and will not be eligible for further conversion.
